Privacy Policy

Jason Buckley. Last updated 6 September 2026.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how it is used, and who it is shared with. We keep the amount of information we hold to the minimum needed to operate.

1. SMS and Mobile Information

We operate an operational SMS alert program (“Otto Alerts”) for Jason Buckley and a small number of named colleagues. Participants opt in explicitly through the form at our SMS sign-up page and consent is recorded with a timestamp. The consent checkbox is unchecked by default and checking it is voluntary; it applies only to this SMS program and is not bundled with any other agreement. Consent is not a condition of working with us, of employment, or of any purchase.

No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. Mobile numbers are used solely to deliver the operational alerts described in the SMS terms and conditions, and are transmitted only to our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of sending those messages.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately, or HELP for assistance.

2. Information We Collect

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics on this site.

3. How We Use Information

Information is used only to deliver the service it was provided for: sending the operational alerts you signed up for, and replying to messages you send us. We do not use it to build profiles or to advertise.

4. Storage and Retention

Data is stored on private, access-controlled systems using key-based authentication and restricted file permissions. Credentials are kept outside of source code and outside of version control. Information is retained only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and removed on request or when you unsubscribe.

5. Security

We protect stored data using encrypted transport (TLS/HTTPS) for all external communication, key-based authentication, and restricted access to the storage host. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by us.

6. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with third parties except where required by law, valid legal process, or to protect our legal rights. The only routine disclosure is to our SMS delivery provider, solely to transmit the messages you opted in to receive.

7. Your Choices

You may unsubscribe from SMS at any time by replying STOP. You may request that we delete the information we hold about you by emailing jason@armedlaser.com.

8. Children's Privacy

This is a business service and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be reflected here before taking effect.
